To help facilitate most asked questions, I will have a weekly post of DM Round Ups. They will each have a week named to them to make it easier to find! This post is DM Round up for August 29. Hoping this helps clear up any answers; this weekly post will consist of my most asked DM’s and any links asked during that time. Every Monday (or Tuesday if it’s a holiday) I will open up a book for questions. This is a great time for me to address anything.

Clothing Questions
Where did you get that adorable dress from?
Awe, thank you! Everyone seems to love this outfit. Harper’s dress was a gift from my mom when she visited Spain last year. I tried to find a similar one online. This was the closest I could find with decent reviews.
Where did you get those shoes and do you suggest them for a 17 month old?
Her shoes are from Ten Little Kids. Harper has been wearing them since 20 months? Perhaps a bit younger. Basically as soon as I found them I decided to make the switch. They are wide but also the sole is flexible to where she can run around in them. We’ve used them for everything from walking, running, and rock climbing. We currently have the every day shoes and also their black Mary Janes.
I think they’re the best shoes for toddlers. I wish I would have started them with Harper earlier on. Her prior shoes were Nike and squeezed her toes too much.
Love her dress! Where is it from?
Half of Harper’s clothes are hand me downs and the other half are Piccolina code HARPS10. It’s one of our favorite brands. It’s woman owned and I stand by their values. They’re overall amazing, you can’t go wrong with their designs!
Those jammies! May I ask where they are from?
I got them off amazon! I found some that would match all of us! She’s currently in the 3T and it feels a bit big. I’ve washed them twice now and have had no issues.
Montessori Spaces
Where is her bench from?
One of my most asked questions! It’s originally from Ikea. It was a bright yellow and I took it apart to paint it a more serene color. For her entrance corner I originally started with a cushion on the ground. And we eventually moved up to a bench for her instead of a pillow. If you need other options, I’ve also been eyeing the Sprout bench but it’s on my wish list for now.
Do you think the shoe stool is safe for the kitchen instead of a tower for a 19 month old?
I have no experience with using it as a stool for the kitchen. For 19 months it feels reaaaaally low. I know the IKEA picture has it as a step stool but that kid definitely looks older than 7. I always suggest the toddler tower is the safest. If you don’t have much space there are other towers too which fold up that could be helpful.
What knife does she use?
She uses the nylon knife currently. I will be introducing another knife this month but she’s currently on the nylon knife from Tovla Jr. You can buy in on Amazon or on their website. codeHARPS10
What is this board?
This is the weather board from Lovevery! It’s been in our home by her bench for a LOOOONG time and she enjoys it. It took her about 3 months to get around to using it and now she loves to check the weather on it. It’s a great way to encourage wearing jackets if you live in a cooler area. It’s a great visual for temperatures.
What’s the headset for? Does she listen to something?
It’s meant to block out noise! But I had it on her shelf before to expose her to it. She would like putting it on her ears just for fun. She’s playing on her balance beam from Lily & River codeHARPS15.

What do you keep in her wardrobe?
Right now I keep it simple. Two dress options. Two shorts options. Two undergarments and a handful of bows to choose from. Her wardrobe is a DIY. I’m thinking of switching over to the Sprout wardrobe because she keeps hitting her head on ours and I can’t make it smaller or fix it. I used to have more options for her but with school on a tight deadline I only give two. This helps prevent a slower morning.
School Related
How old is she? How long does she go to school for? She seems so little like 2.
Harper is 3 and is in a Primary level. She attends school until lunch time and then comes home to me. She goes to school with 3,4, and 5 year olds. She’s small like me 🙂

Do you prep her school lunch in the evening?
YES! Mostly at like 11PM because I never sleep haha. You can see all the lunches in this highlight I created.
Why don’t you prepare meals for her and only small bites?
hmmm. I’m not sure? This is just how we eat. Although, I did make spaghetti today and thought about sending it but I feel like it would be too messy for school. I try to be mindful of the teachers too. We keep the more elaborate meals for home.
Montessori & Miscellaneous
I have so much pressure to have my son stay at the table when he’s eating. But my son is autistic and can’t sit long enough to eat a meal unless he has a toy or something to distract him.
There is a pressure to have kids act like adults and I think it’s very unfair. I give Harper an option and the only rule I have is that she must not walk around with food in her mouth because it’s a hazard. Other than that, I give her options on the high chair, weaning table, or tower. Sometimes from my lap too. For autism mamas I follow French Family Montessori and Daniellitasuar. These are two mamas who I learn so much from always.
